Demolition & Concrete Estimator

1-2 positions immediately available for a demolition and/or concrete estimator. Chosen individual will be a reliable, computer savvy applicant to work in our Placentia, CA office. This is a full-time position. The applicant should be self-driven as this position requires tremendous attention to detail. Partial training will be provided, however; applicant must have prior experience and knowledge of bidding Demolition and/or Concrete work.

Expected Duties:
• Review incoming bid requests
• Determine scope of work
• Download construction plan sheets and specs to perform online take-offs to provide a basis to bid. (Information is input into a proposal for bidding)
• Responsible for organizing the appropriate plans and specs prior to job start for review by the Project Manager
• Applicant must also be willing to travel to scheduled job walks. (Must be able to ask for and note all required information pertaining to the scope of work our company provides.)

The chosen individual must function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment. In this position, you will need to have a proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects. The job will involve a high level of coordinating and multi-tasking.
• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have experience reading plans and using take-off software such as Vu-360.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to display interpersonal, oral and written skills and can communicate with others in a professional environment.
• This is not a position where the applicant will be micro-managed; applicant must be focused and self-reliant. Full support with be provided.

We have 1- 2 positions available for individuals who can complete one of the options listed below:

1. Our company provides both soft and hard demolition services. We provide a full demolition service from drywall strips to full building take-downs, along with concrete and asphalt breaking and removing. Our crews work with bobcats, excavators, core drills, saw cutters, as well as other basic tools. Applicant must be able to determine a machine-run job versus a hand-run job and adjust price accordingly.

2. Our company also provides concrete services including: concrete removal and placement of flat work, slabs, sidewalks, footings, and structural slabs. We also provide specialty services such as epoxy injections, joint seal, and pressure grouting.

Individuals who apply must be able to estimate on all requirements of options 1 or 2 above.
An individual who can provide estimates on both will hold priority over someone who can only provide one.
